Exclamation Amr 6428

I have a 97 Disco. I recently started having issues with my Hazard lights coming on by themselves after hitting bumps in the road. I followed the sound of what sounded like a relay popping on and off traced it to the green box on the passenger side of the vehicle with the part number of AMR 6428. I found that when i turn the vehicle off, remove the key and unplug the gray plug from the bottom of the AMR 6428 box then turn the vehicle back on the hazards go off. I also noted that when this is happening and while the gray plug is disconnected my key FOB does not work.
Is this problem coming from the AMR 6428 box or further up the electrical system? If its coming from the box where can i find a replacement?
Thank you for your help.

Isn't the AMR 6428 the alarm system box? From the RAVE:

An inertia switch is incorporated in the Theft Alarm
Unit (Z163). If ignition is on and the vehicle receives
an impact sufficient to activate the inertia switch, the
unit will signal to unlock central locking actuators and
flash hazard lights. Central locking will remain
disabled for a period of 0 to 5 minutes. To reset, turn
ignition off and then on after the time period has

elapsed.

So perhaps you have some loose wires associated with that box or ground point for it. This is not the same inertia switch that disables fuel pump in a crash.

I have read on here where some people found them hanging loose. They should be mounted correctly, is yours loose?

Yup, that's the alarm ecu and it's synced with the efi ecu. You don't really want to screw around with that little green box without a good understanding of what it does (Rave is your friend in that regard) or a textbook computer nearby.
