Something like this

I have a similar one for my Perkins injector lines, only it looks more like a deep socket with a cutout.

When I googled them I called em brake line wrenches as I believe that was their initial intention but they work for lots of applications where box wrenches and sockets won't do

Yes, those would definitely be good tools to have. Much better than an open end since it does grab more of the nut. The way the O2 sensor is slightly recessed can make it challenging to get on the nut squarely.

yeah after several start on & off cycles the ECM will clear the code if it passes muster. having a scanner with live data helps alot, helped me troubleshoot O2 sensor deaths by watching the ST/LT fuel trim data, rover was runing on default map settings, richer fuel.

The wrenches in the set pictured are actually called Flare Nut wrenches.
Line wrenches are for removing diesel injector lines.
This is what mine looks like, couldn't find the photo this morning.

Which scanner do you have?

its the Actron CP-9180. bought it 1 year from advance autoparts when it was like 1/2 off. its a good pocket scanner, you can record live data while driving and then download to the computer, i then export it to MS excel charts. it resets codes also, not abs though. i found a website download for scanner software that is more detailed, installs on ur laptop, but i have to find an OBDII port cable to connect to the laptop port.

Some of the techno guys on here may know of a source.

I was using a new one at AA, but I did not have the manual nor did I know anything about doing te Live Data, but it did have a Live Data Screen.

They had to replace earlier one because someone burned it up by starting their engine, so I was hesitant to do that.
