Any thoughts on D2 Shock Tower

Looks much better mounting than our d1 design

I've not actually done it but it looks like it would be easier to change shocks when the time came, and you would have to use D2 shocks as the top mount is different..

Yeah the d2 shock setup is a better on the field serviceable

If you swap in a shock which has a eye top vs. a pin top, then yep, the D2 tower works great. I personally ditched the metric hardware for 1/2" hardware.
