Question Backseat removal ???

I want to remove the back seats from my D-1.(Middle seats not jump seats) I can see the bolt heads, looks easy enough. My question is, are the nuts underneath fastened to the body or will they fall out if I unscrew the bolts. I want to be able to reinstall the seats in the future...

Thanks

I've been thinking about removing one of mine too...I haven't checked the D1 but with the DII there are no nuts.

Thumbs up

Hey Nite Train...

I think I'll remove one and see if my nuts fall on the ground. ;^)

I'll let you know the results.

no you just unbolt them. there are no nuts. might need some pb blaster as they are exposed under the truck and mine had mud caked to the back side. its easier to do the fronts in the foot well first then flip the seat foward and do the backs.

Default Thank you Ed

Sounds good. It will just be easier to pack with the seats removed. My spouse doesn't like the way the tilted forward rear seat, limits the angle of her passenger seat. Gotta keep her as happy as possible...

Happy Friday.

Yes they just unbolt. There are "captive fasteners" mounted underneath so you can unbolt and re-install. Spray PB Blaster from both top and bottom and let it sit a while to soak in for easier removal.
