Set the cruise at 70, your actual speed will be 65.
Inflate tires to 40psi.
Roof rails make no matter, cross bars do.
Avoid ethanol gas.
Leave the seat just loose the mother in law.
Windows up sunroofs closed, a/c on or off no matter.
New front O2's, the rears do nothing.
Shell Premium fuel.
Drive down hill all the time.
Thinner gear lube helps in the winter time.
Make sure your fan clutch is working properly.
The longer the trip the better the MPG.
? Curious as to why the rear 02 do nothing? I have found that if you remove them, the trucks run like crap and will CEL. That would lead me to believe that they are in fact doing something. I thought the purpose for them was to recheck the quality of air after the cat to see if the cat was working and then adjust the lean/rich of the fuel to make it as clean as possible. (cat function) (I'm wording this best I can but you get the idea) Everytime I have removed the cats, to replace them or as in the case of my 99d1, not replace them... (woods truck) I found that the trucks ran really rich and the cel codes tossed were

what he was saying was the rear ones don't affect the air fuel mix like the front ones, they just set off a code telling you to change the cats if they get too rich.

Speaking about ethanol gas, I found this yesterday:

I know modern engines are built for 85% ethanol but what's the point of having ethanol fuel if you loose efficiency?

Its political crap.

It takes more energy and resources then you get out of it. But its "creating jobs" and "Reducing our dependence on foreign oil" I guess.

Or at least that's the BS they try to cram down our throats.

This is good to hear.

From the research I have done, and I am in no way saying that it is 100% true, and talking to several mechanics, all the rear O2's do is tell the ecu that the cats are working or not.

If others have removed their rear O2's or cats and have rear O2's lets hear your results.

I am a audi mechanic and that is exactly what they do on Audi's.

They have no effect on fuel trim or engine effeciency.

I changed out my diff oils last night. I cannot feel any difference in drag on the gears or the vehicle but I can say she shifts WAY better. No more clunking on slowing down downshifts.

85w 140 was the trick Disco Mike! Thanks again!

its 100% true, rear o2's tell your comp if the cats are working, if you pull cats you have to eliminate the rear o2's, i run my mustang cat-less.

So do you run dummy O2's? Or do you have any issues?

Radar Love is another song that can lead to speeding quite easily.
