Default Blinking CEL

Hello, I recently purchased a '96 Land Rover Disco I with 105,000 Miles and was misfiring. I changed the plugs and plug wires and now the misfire seems to be gone truck runs strong now was completely powerless before but i still have a CEL on and around 35-60kms roughly the light flashes but stops after that speed and runs good, I dont have access to a Scan tool at the moment and i have researched before i posted but have came up with many many answers and i figure maybe one or two of you have had the same isssue as me and have the answer or a least a piece of advise Thank You very much!!!!

Blinking CEL means something is about to go bang. It's blinking to get your attention, last resort before the bang. Usually it's nothing more than an emission problem where it's way out of spec....... if it continues grab the code from an auto parts store jockey.

The first step would be to find out what the code is, since you said you changed the plugs and wires you should clear the code (something that auto parts stores wont do by law)and wait till it comes back to see what it is. Generally a blinking CEL means misfire leading to catalytic system damage. In other words a misfire that's dumping fuel into the exhaust. For me the fix was a new ignition coil.
