Default Left turn signal blinking fast

My left turn signal has started to blink really fast. The right one blinks the normal speed it always has, but the left one is about double or tripple timing it. I am going to try using the hazard lights today to see if the left blinks faster then too, but has anyone heard of this before? Know any possible causes?

This most likely caused by a light bulb being out
frt or rear.

Could be a bad earth connection.

Bulb looks good, but the bulb holder connection to the wiring plug is corroded and faulty. I have ordered new parts from British Atlantic. Thanks guys for the pointers to where the problem was.
