Default Blower dead

Hi all. I'm new here and also new to LR vehicles. I'm helping a friend who has a Disco 1 1991. It's imported from Britain so it has RHD etc. The vehicle has several problems, but I've started with the dead blower, I found a blown fuse (A8) but that was not the solution. Also found a dead relay under the panel below the steering wheel, but I'm unsure what it belongs to.

I need a circuit diagram for this 1991 Disco 1. I found a diagram for 1995 on the RAVE page, but it does not seem to correspond completely to this early Disco 1. Any help is appreciated.

I have a 96 D1, had a problem with my blower motor not working and at the same time my rear windows weren’t working. Tried everything to get the blower working, checking fuses and relays. Turned out I bought a used window lift ecu from Goldwings and that fixed my windows and the blower motor started working again. Hope this helps.

OK dicksoutforharambe, Sounds odd, but I will check the rear windows to see if it is similar to your problem. I still want to find a circuit diagram though.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that fix to solve my problem. Your HVAC system is more like the one found in earlier Range Rover Classic models with a heater blower motor (#4 in the diagram) in the large assembly behind the center dash and a blower motor for the A/C in the passenger footwell behind the glove box.

This is what the blower assembly for the A/C looks like under the passenger footwell.

Thank you Paul. Unfortunately, this car has no HVAC, just standard heating with blower. Also, there are no power windows in the back so that advice is no good either. I would like to trace the 12 Volt from the fuse down to the blower motor, is there any relay involved likeit is in the later models?

I'd start with the fan switch. More often than not, it's the culprit.

Keep in mind, very little from an NAS DI is going to work on your truck. You'll ind more crossover parts from '94 and earlier Range Rovers.

I am trying to get access to the rear of the heater control panel so I started to remove the center console which is in the way (I believe). I removed 4 screws at the rear of the console and the shift lever boots, but there must be some more hidden clips that hold the console in place. How do I proceed without breaking anything?

I'm afraid you're on your own when it comes to disassembling the center console or any of the dash on an early DI. I've never touched a non NAS DI and your truck has absolutely nothing in common with any of the hundreds of DI's I've parted out.
