HVAC Blower motor help
After my recent rebuild I noticed my blower motor was making some odd noises. My suspicion (mouse nest) were correct. I totally cleaned the area out and reassembled. It worked great for a few days. Now it is dead. I pulled the electrical connector and plugged back in hoping it was a simple fix. That did not work. I am thinking maybe motor resistor but I thought when those go, the fan either works on high only or intermittently. How can I diagnose the blower motor resistor? Can you help me troubleshoot? Could it be a bad relay?
Thank you
Thank you
I faced similar symptoms last year... checked fuses, direct powered blower motor (and it works), etc. This is how I fixed mine (see last post):

Good luck!

Good luck!
I'll check back
Ok in that pic see the upper white connector with a Red & Black wire secured to the blower housing? Disconnect it & check the wiring on the back side for being melted or inside the connector itself. I’ve seen those get nasty. Also double check any fuses for the HVAC.
I thought #7 under the steering wheel was the one?
I don't have the RAVE or manual near me, but it's either that connection is melted or possibly a fuse. Do you have a meter? Turn on the HVAC and see if you get any voltage. Normally when a blower resistor goes out = you loose the slow speeds and only have High.
