Default brakes

Hi Spike,

Many thanks for that information.

I have removed the 40A screw in fuse for the ABS pump in the engine fuse box.
There is also a 30amp pull fuse for the ABS valve. Do I need to remove that as well???

I have been driving without ill effect since removing the fuse but its early days.

Cheers Colin

There will be no change in normal braking. The only thing you did is disable the Antilock Braking System.

Default Brakes

Thanks Spike,

I have pulled the 40A fuse for the ABS Pump but there is also a 30amp fuse for the ABS valve.
Do I need to pull this also???

Cheers Colin

You only need to pull the ABS pump fuse.
That is what pumps the brakes, with that fuse gone you will not have ABS but you will have normal brakes.
Again, check for fluid leaks, vacuum leaks, etc.
If all is well in a couple of months with the fuse pulled you can start a new thread and figure out what you want to do to repair the system.
