for a while now, my handle into the driver seat has been broken (i can see where it snapped on the grip and no longer pulls the cable to open)
i have been entering through the passenger seat and lowering the window and then walking around and opening the door with my arm through the window opening.
is the problem easily fixed by a novice?
anyone know where to get the part to replace the broken one?

DIY is a 2 on a level of 10. Use upholstery removal plastic prybar (auto parts store), and gently pry off door panel, which is held by plastic fasteners. Parts from on line, salvage yard (you get to practice pulling it apart), or a dismantler parts guy on the forum.

 

You need to take care of this NOW!!
Eventually the inside handle will break too and you will be screwed.
