Default Broken Tcase Coupling Thingy

Hello all,

Ive searched around on the forums/the google but unfortunately am coming up dry as to what the name of the coupling is that screws into the back end of the transfer case and attaches to the rear driveshaft.

Came down hard on a rock while wheeling this weekend and snapped the damn thing and one of the u-joints and had to take the rear driveshaft out. Nearby junkyards are saying I need to buy the full tcase to get this part and I’d like to just buy the coupling if possible.

Does anyone know the name of the coupling/can offer any additional advice?

Photo of broken coupling below.

Thank you!!

The guys at the junkyards are Dip$hits, that's NOT part of the transfer case it's a drive shaft yoke.

IDK if anyone sells just the yoke, so you could get a USED drive shaft or order a NEW complete drive shaft.

New are not expensive at all.

unfortunately someone did the conversion from the rotoflex on mine so looks like I’ll either be opting for the Lucky8 shaft or will have to find one that’s been converted

Either way if the drive shaft has the Roto Flex or 2 U joints the Flange Yoke at the Transfer Case/ Parking Brake Drum is the same.
So if all you want to do is replace that yoke just grab a used one like in the ebay listing and R&R it.

IMHO if the DS took a hard enough hit to snap the yoke I would just buy a new drive shaft OR a good used complete DS and R&R the 2 U joints.
But it's your call, good luck!

agreed. I'd be concerned the shaft is no longer 'true'

Agreeing with everyone else, replace the whole shaft.

If you just want to replace the Yoke, shoot me a PM and I can send one out this weekend.
