300tdi conversion. First time wiring anything really. I can't remember if the brown with red wire went to the starter on the v8 or not but I'm not getting any power to it at all. This is the wire I've been told to use for the starter on the 300tdi. Is there anything that this wire passes through to get power? like the alarm ecu or something, i haven't pulled that out yet.

I applied 12 volts to this connection and it starts right up. sounds beautiful! have not hooked up alternator either as i am missing an eyelet and haven't made it to auto zone haha
