Default New Brown Brake Fluid!

Check this out...good thing the master cylinder went out. I started to bleed the system and this came out. I'm flushing the whole system now...

That's why the system should be flushed every couple of years. I've had it in the back of my mind to flush my system very soon - been too long.

Could be why the master cylinder went bad as well. You know it starts out clear, the darker it is the more particulates there are in suspension. Wonder what density that fluid is? Will light even pass thru it?

Yes I know it's clear. One of the seals on the bottom of the container started leaking. Good thing too... There were chunks of crap in the fluid. It's all clear now. Light could pass through it but not much. I'd equate it to the transparency of nyquil.

The fluid in the master cylinder was clear...so I guess all that must have been in the lines for a while...if you haven't completely bled the system in a while you might want to think about it!

That';s why they recommend using a turkey baster to suck it out of the reservoir and bleed each line until it runs clear. That dark has a lot of junk in suspension. That could play hell on small openings.
