If you go offroad much, the plastic will remove it self somewhat as will the running boards if the mounts rusted like mine did. I completely removed all the plastic even the end pieces, I was thinnking about leaving them on, but they are almost worthless.

I like the Saudi style grilles. I'll eventually get around to something like that even though I prefer the metal bars or tube styles better, but I do have some expanded metal ere, I may try that, also have some light guage stuff similar to Turf's.

What did you use to frame yours Turf?

There's very little work needed at all when you do that grill. Literally when you cut out the guts in the middle the piece of gutter guard you buy at home depot (5$, then pop the retaining clips off) literally drops right in. Just need to fold up the two bottom corners a tad so it sits flat. Then you epoxy it down with a bunch of weight on it to hold it flat. Voila! Custom grill, 5$ in metal, 5$ in epoxy

What did you use to cut it, a dremel? I was considering using my air saw....

I used a zip saw, then sanded the rough edges. Worked great
