Default Butyl ribbon on quarter glass
With all the knowlage kn this forum I hope someone hrer can answer this question. Is it possible to install the rear quarter glass and alpine glass using butyl ribbon aka 3m window weld?

I'd say not a chance. The stock gasket takes up quite a bit of room between the window and the body.

Buetal tape works great for stopping drafts, placed under weather stripping.
But is no good by itself.
