already tried to jumper that switch, did not do anything for me. You are right there is only a switch on the H (high) side and not on the L (low side).

Default Great advice

I was having the same issue as the original poster, okdiscoguy had the right answer for my issue. Light was not illuminating on the dash switch. I pressed harder and it came on, kicking in the compressor and ac worked like a charm. Thanks for the advice.

Please don't run the compressor with it jumped to +.
If you are overcharged with Freon, you don't have the high side limit switch to keep you from blowing up your compressor.

I over charged mine once and the compressor started to cycle on and off.
That' what you need to save yourself from an overcharge of Freon.
