A/C Hose Compressor To Condenser repair
So in the process of trying to reach the O2 sensor connectors on my 1997 Discovery 1 (which we finally were successful at) we bent the AC hose running from the compressor to the condenser. the rubber part of the hose was resting on the fan belt and we rubber a hole in it before we saw the problem. Anyone got a fix suggestion for this? I was thinking maybe a plumbers pipe patch, or maybe JB weld repair tape. I see they also make some splices. Just wondering if anyone had a preferred way to patch/repair this?? I could go this route (https://www.roverparts.com/heating-c...ssor/BTR4045G/) but man alive, its 260 bucks

I know enough about air conditioning to know to stay away from it, but are you going to need to evacuate and replenish the system once you get it sorted?
Hate to state the obvious, but what about a pick n pull or other breaker? Or ebay? Shouldn't be more than $15-25, I would think.

I used a splice kit that had a 1 foot rubber hose in between 2 splice connectors that fit on the aluminum tubes. that was back in 2018, looks like they don't sell them any more. Got mine off Amazon and it worked for a good 3-5 years. truck is gone now but it was still cooling when it died.
