Can't clear ABS fault code 2-14
Hi all,
So the ABS code 2-14 keeps repeating even though the sensor is fully home. I can get the warning light to go off for about a day by using the reset method of stamping on the pedal at about 30mph and restarting the vehicle but then it always returns at some point.
Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks
Alan

Alan -
Good Luck. That i probably the single most frustrating thing I worked on in my Disco so far - the ABS system as a whole.
You will send that sensor home and the code will go away, only to return 15 seconds, or 15 months later.
There have been issues with grease/dirt build up beneath the sensors that are forcing it back up - you may want to see if you can clean that out and re-seat carefully.
OR - if you are tired of messing with it - pull the fuse from under the hood and be done with it.
After clearing all the codes and getting back to a "fully functioning" ABS system, it almost killed me and my family by "chattering" through an intersection without stopping. Pulled the fuse and I have been happy and safe ever since.
