CDL Shifter part broke, found a new part
Finally decided to tackle the uncooperative shift lever for the CDL on my '96. It would work, but needed a mighty effort. Well now it's broken.
Opened it up and sprayed some penetrating oil on it and was shifting good for two or three tries, then the nylon part around the ball broke, and it popped out of the hole. The nylon part is built into the shifter lever. Where to find a replacement?
Just so happens the lever was listed on Rovers North clearance items, so I ordered it. Saved me the trouble of a tedious internet search, and it is a new genuine part. Well, not sure how long it's been sitting on the self, but it's new to me. I am really pleased that our trucks still have great support for spare parts.
