central locking system not working
any ideas of why? Is there an ecu like the windows that doesn't work? I tried many searches on here but couldn't find anything.

You didnt search very hard.
This is the most common problem with DI's next to the ABS.
No there is no computer, it is gears and a lever, the lever is seized.
You need to crawl under the truck and lube the CDL linkage.
Work it from the inside and then lube it some more.
Eventually it should free up, once you get it working you need to exercise it ounce a month to keep it working, you dont need to off road, just in your driveway move it through all the positions.
As for the rear windows not working, 15 min fix.
The window lift ECU has a crack in the circuit board, remove the board, resolder it, put it back and the windows will work again.
The window lift ECU is behind the glove box.

Spike, I think what he was asking is that his electronic door locks are not working and he wanted to know if there is an ECU that controls that. If so is it a simple fix similar to the rear window solder fix. At least that's the way I interpreted the question.
