Check your fuel regulator vacuum line!
1996 SD 5speed, Safari gard front bumper, 90lb winch, 245/75 r16 Super Swamper Iroc
While tearing it down to do the heads I found that my fuel regular vacuum line had come off. I've been getting 10 mpg and considered this par. Truck has never given me any reason to check fuel system for any problems (although I should have anyway) No codes, no idle or acceleration issues, TRUCK HAS RUN PERFECT. Just thought I would throw this out there for those of you with lower than expected mpg. Hoping to get my 16 mpg after getting it back together...NO HATERS PLEASE! Let me believe until I get it back together.
On the other hand. Is there a reason the PO may have unplugged it because it was faulty, is this a temporary fix? Any way to bench test it?

No, no such luck! Still holding steady at 10 mpg. Crazy thing is that 13 mpg sounds good to me now. On to the O2 sensors, then maybe the ford injectors if I can find the one that fit.
Year range and model of Volvo? Knowing this will make it much easier when dealing with helpless..... I mean helpful part counter clerks
