Default clutch refuses to bleed

(manual D1)

my clutch fluid clearly needs to be replaced... looking pretty dirty...

but when i tried to bleed it (as per RAVE manual) the old fluid simply refused to come out!

RAVE says;
1. Attach suitable tubing to slave cylinder bleed screw (done)
2. place free end of tube in a glass jar containing clutch fluid (done, using DOT4 as per manual)
3. loosen bleed screw (done)
4. pump clutch pedal, pausing at the end of each stroke, until fluid from tubing is free of air. keep free end of tube below surface of fluid.

...I was doing that fourth step, but after many, many pumps nothing had happened at all, except a tiny bit of fluid crept out of the bleed screw. I loosed it quite a bit, too.

Did I miss anything? Does this mean my slave cylinder is clogged/damaged?

Lower the container enough to get the end of the tube out of the fluid and have someone depress the pedal and hold it. Does fluid come out? If so letting the pedal up when the end of the tube is in the fluid is probably just sucking it back in.

simple answer yes you said fluid was dirty before starting, the top up is via a very small hole so would have been better to pour this away rather than try to force it through the entire system . Sorry this is exactly as i did being lazy eventually wrecking the master seals .

my advice take it of the car clean it ensure the chambers are clear of any thing that will foul up later a little more involved yes but start from an acceptable point of ref rather than doing it several times over with fingers X

This is funny, if jafir doesn't mention it, I wouldn't have noticed the date. I was about to give my two cents on the issue.
