Does anyone have any clue what the code P1171 is? I'm having a difficult time finding anything on it. I have been looking around and haven't seen anyone mention it in any of the forums.

 

It's a fuel trim code. Too lean. Or so the oxygen sensors think.

 

I just put in a new aftermarket MAF and it is running like crap. I'm also getting P0300 multiple misfire. I am guessing the new MAF was a waste of money. I believe it is the source of my issues.

 

That could do it, I suppose. New D1 MAFs are very expensive, but they are pretty cheap used. I'd check with Will Tillery, Paul Grant, Marty Powell, etc. Will has new parts sometimes too, so he might have something new and affordable, that actually works.

 

I put the old MAF back in just to see what would happen... and it worked fine! I reset the CEL and it hasn't come back on.
