Constant power loss
I have a 1998 D1 and the battery keeps dying over time if not unhooked. When the car is off and key is not in the power windows are on. At first I thought maybe someone tapped accessories in the head unit, but 4 ways turn signals windshield wipers seat etc. don't have power. The wiring in the head unit is all over the place I haven't found any power from the wiring though. So I don't believe it is the head unit anymore and am lost as this is how it was when I had bought it. Any suggestions on where too look I am now thinking maybe they tapped into the power windows but I have no idea.
There is a common rear window inop issue that to me sounds like somebody did a bad fix for. Look for any hacking in the passenger footwell or under the switches in the center console.
This is a more tested hack to fix the windows, which is usually attributed to dry solder connections in the window ECU.

Check for anything else w/ power w/o the key.

I think your right on since I bought the car the passenger footwell was already all taken apart made it easy for the amp bypass but never understood why it was already all apart. The only other thing I had noticed that has power so far is the ignition ring lights up red but I figured that is normal. I am going to look into this more though, Thank you!
Here's the ETM (Electrical Troubleshooting Manual) for 1997 Disco, 98' should be almost the same. Has wiring diagrams for all systems and info about each connector and part, might help you out.
Try to find which connectors they are based on their location, shape/size, and what they're connected. I've found it unreliable to rely on the wire colors in order to identify the connectors but the indicated colors on the ETM can be used to find what pin is what.

Maybe remove that jumper to see if it fixes the battery problem. The window control module can also be repaired by soldering the circuit board after prying it out of the box. The weak solder joints show up as black circles vs shiny silver.
almost all the manuals can be found in the google drive linked in my signature. Download and use them as you like.
The purple/brown wire carries power from a fuse. jumping that to the white/pink wire allows power to flow constantly to the window switches rather than rely on the ECU to make the decision. (see L1-4.... chapter L1, page 4 of the etlj970x......pdf)
