Default Cruise control vs Fog light switch

I have not been able to find a straight answer to this question.

Is there an advantage to using a cruise control switch over a fog light switch to run aux lighting?

Thank you

Other than aesthetics, no. I ran a cruise control switch to power an extra set of lights till I found another matching fog light switch. You will however need to file off the tab on the second fog light switch to make it fit the pod as there is an offset between the fog light and the cruise switches. Hope this helps.
