cut off my resonator today, added a turndown.

Sounds like I actually might have an engine under the hood now..

Im not an exhaust guy, I usually like my stuff stock aka as quiet as possible. But Im considering a muffler..

 

My PO did that. Wasn't too bad around town, but on a long road trip, it sucks. Remember the most annoying sound in the world from Dumb & Dumber? It lasted for 16 hours!

Cut my resonator off a couple months ago also.....I LOVE IT. I put a relatively small exit pipe straight out the back and now I have nice pleasant rumble at idle and a nice growl on startup. Great cheap mod that makes the Rover sound like it has some ball$.

 

I just installed a Magnaflow. It gives a nice growl and it's actually quieter than the old leaking muffler.

 

Cut mine of 6 years ago because of my newly made bumper and love the slightly more mellow tone.

 

When I get my new exhaust I probably will let mine go too, as well as some other non essential worn out exhaust parts.
My exhaust leak it beyond annoying now.

 

I cherry bombed the central exhaust with a cherry bomb elite and then removed the rear muffler and replaced with a super short glass pack. its a rumble but its all behind me so its not annoying. Also when cutting make sure you wear proper eye proctection. Projects with hospital bills cost alot.
