Default Cutting The Radiator Hose For Water Temp Sensor Install

I'm about to install my water temp sensor and I'm gonna have to cut my radiator hose to install the sensor. Aside from replacing the fluid that I lose, is there anything else I need to be concerned about during or after install?

I don't understand why you would need to cut hose but, if you look just below where the thermostat housing is, there's a plug there. Don't know what it's for but I put mine there. You'll have to tap it with npt threads but i believe it's the best place. To answer your question though...bleeding the air is the biggest part of putting everything back together. I find it easier to remove upper heater core hose clamp and bleed it from there. Just by cracking the top of the hose until you get a steady stream. My next mod will be to put an air bleed on the hard pipe running into thermostat (just to bleed once a week) I've seen temp drops of around 10 degrees after bleeding system. I run 186-190 constantly FYI. Also would recommend ultra gauge too.
