Cutty Sark Whiskey Case Center Console
I am still tweaking it, but will have it finalized today I hope. I ended up moving the window switches again. I did additional cutouts on the veneer panel and am trying to get it to sit just right.
Biggest problem is routing all those wires of different lengths to such close proximity is a small confined space and getting it to where I am happy with it. I am so damn hard to please it seems.
Guess a few more sips of some good Scotch could ease it all together. It is definitely unique.

I have all the carpets and pads out, so it is down to the metal floor which has minor surface rust and of course all those various holes from the original manufacturing processes.
I do not plan on putting carpet back in. But I do have some beautiful marble floor pieces that I was considering adherring to the metal floor pans in the drivers and passengers footwell just to cover the bare metal but still have it easy to clean out.
Thought that might give it a bit of a classy look. We'll see how that goes. White Marble in an Artic White Discovery. Or maybe some black to set it off. Also have some textured stone in large squares.
I raided a rolloff container at the Mall when Macy's was remodeling. I Love Macy's.
I could always throw a piece of carpet down over or rubber floormats it if I wanted to.

I wish there were a few bottles of it left, the case was over 60 years old. I think marble would look sharp for the front floorboards. Mud would not hurt it, you could hose it right out. Couldn't hurt it.
I guess it all depends on how you plan to adhere it to the floor. With all the vibration, heat, and flexing of the body you would need something pretty hefty. Not to mention you'd probably want to build up the floor first and smooth it out.
Too posh, plus probably snap when you hit a Jersey pot hole. How about some of that barn stall mat from Tractor Supply (farm supply) - very heavy duty rubber mats, like 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.
