I've got a stock 96 SD with the 5 speed. Consistently turning in 16-18mpg at about 330-360 miles/tank. 129,000 miles

The ECU is reporting incorrect values for MAF on our trucks.. Only one of the 2 #'s used to calculate the value are provided (the lower one of course..)

There may be a translation but I am unaware of one, and I gave up trying to calculate what it is /vs what it should be.

This has been discussed on here a few times now

My Disco is stuck around 10 MPG for the last 500 miles, but that has been short two lane trips and very little freeway driving and it doesn't shift to OD until 55 MPH. I am wondering if there is something else wrong that's causing the low mileage and perhaps a high throttle position in normal driving that makes it shift late; I still get codes P1313 and P1314 that I am beginning to think could be a fault with the crank position sensor making it think it is misfiring and perhaps affecting the fueling as well. Otherwise it seems to drive OK except for the late shift points at moderate throttle.

I was able to put the UltraGage in our Chrysler minivan to get the "gallons used" high enough to do a calibration change and then put it back in the Disco. At a calibration number of 300 it was returning 5 to 6 MPG on the UG so I bumped it back to 170 and hope it will be closer to the 10 MPG I have figured manually and that I can eventually do the prescribed calibration routine to get closer to the actual MPG.

I still think UltraGage should list this as an exception for 98 Discos and perhaps 97s if they have the same MAF level problem.

FWIW My ecm in my 94 is located under the passenger seat, everything else is behind the glovebox. I got stranger lol, im about 10-12 mpg right now. but this is also the first tank of fuel since I installed a used engine, so there is a little extra idle time on her. At this time everything is stock as well, my over drive kicks in at about 55 as well
