D1 vs NAS 90

The stock tire size for a 1997 LR Defender 90 NAS was 265/75 16 the 1997 NAS D1 was 235/70 16

Why the difference ?

just posted in the other thread

curb weight. defender is a feather compared to a disco

defender is also limited to 85. disco is somewhere over 100 but will struggle to get there with 235/8516s
