Posted on D1 but after 250 views not a single opinion so I am here - ok 235/70/16 winter tread patterns appropriate for a D1 are getting hard to find. There are some real deals on 205/80/16 with good tread pattern for a D1 - this size was also a stock size OEM tire on a D1 - I think only ROW - the sizes line up real close

Anyone with an opinion that a 205/80 would not be a good choice for specific reasons ? Load / speed rating etc. ? I have an SD no rear seating or a/c package. Of course we all know D1's won't be doing over 100mph

As long as the sizes are comparable, why not? My only concern is that the width is over an inch on the 205/80. As long as the wheel isn’t too wide, I’d do it to save a few bucks.

I run pizza cutters on my Jeep and absolutely love them.
