Default Damn diesels

On my way home from work tonight and I was behind a semi, I was going to be changing expressways in a half mile so I wasn't going to pass him.
Then BAM!!!, white smoke everywhere and my truck was covered in oil and soot because his turbo just blew.
I took it to the DIY carwash and used every cleaner they had, most of it came off the truck but not all of it.
I can at least see out my windshield now though.

I dont know Buzz, I cant do anything right now, working 6 days a week 12 hours a day and all.
Plus it is pitch black, snowing and about 25*F outside, garden hose is put away for the winter and the outside faucets are turned off and drained so I have no water outside.

Well, try a little on a rag, if it works, take spray bottle to car wash and do a panel at a time. Use some of that OT to pay a detailer? Run hose from hot water drain on water heater (but might crack glass...)? Odorless mineral spirits from Home Depot paint aisle?

I was following a compacter trash truck, thought it was raining a little, it was paint....

Well I dont get overtime, it's piece rate.
Hot water heater is in the basement, I really dont want to run 200ft of garden hose from the basement out through the garage and into the driveway and leave the house door open and let all the heat out.
I'll work on it Sun after we take the kinds on the Santa Train, probably take it back to the DIY carwash and use a rag and put some elbow grease into it.
That sucks about the paint from the compactor truck.

years ago, another ride. Toluene will take off fresh paint and leave cured paint, if you are careful.

Hey - you should get the 101 Dalmations video.... lol

Yep, dish soap and hot water is your best bet. Trying to remove stuff like that with solvents can sometimes be more harmful than good to your finish. You're a nicer person than I am, the owner of the vehicle would be paying to have my car detailed and would have a seperate bill for removing my foot from their ***.

Do your best to get off what you can with the dish soap but remember it strips everything from the surface so following up with a good wash and a hand glaze is a great idea if the weather will cooperate.
