Are you removing the dash to redo it?

If it doesn't work well, you might want to check with Paul Grant to see if he has replacements available at a good price.

I resemble that remark...

If this project goes much further we will be talking frame off restoration.

If the budget can stand it, one of those spiffy sealed batteries (like the Yellow top) would not leak acid when bouncing on the trails....

Doing it with dash in place. Don't tempt me though

Next up, custom anodized aluminum frame, titanium exhausT, and lay-z boy seats

That Optima does look tempting. And put an extra battery in the rear corner of the vehicle independent of the vehicle electrical system for running lights, tools, and various other stuff like sound system when camping or tailgating. You could even use a portable battery charger to charge it when 110 is available, like at home in your garage or at a big campground or something.

I thought for sure you would pull the dash, it should be a breeze compared to what you've done already.

c'mon...let's do the dash...together. And how much do you need to loosen the bolts to qualify for frame off.

I'd take it out but the garage is already full from the engine being out. I do plan to gut the whole interior and redo it though. After it runs again, that is.
