Dash lights/rear wiper not working, fuse blowing
Well I've got most everything put back together today, just waiting on the center part of my dash to come in (mine was broke). I got the rest of my exhaust put on. Now I've turned my attention to the rear right tail light. The running/parking light keeps going out for some damn reason. The brake light works but the running light keeps going out. It's like the bulb connection get too hot and distorts the connection. This has been a problem the whole time I've owned this thing.
Too hot is higher resistance due to craptastic connection. Check the tail light assembly connector (thing that connects wires to the assembly), bulb socket to metal strips, metal tabs on socket. Dielectric grease has helped keep a near new second set of rear lenses/sockets stay in great shape. Got rid of the random working/not working problem and has kept the plastics from deforming and the po po off my butt.

Yep, moisture. I snagged a pair off a truck that was heading to the bone yard (cracked block) a 95 to be exact. Way better shape than mine which I worked on constantly. I've only replaced one running light in four years. YMMV but it's worth thinking about.
Yeah I tried to find one the other day. The rubber seal around the light might be letting water in. I noticed that the upper part of the seal seemed to be getting pushed in so I made sure to pull it out when I pushed the light back in. Maybe that will help, if not I'll source a new light.
