A dim light can be due to a bad ground for that light or a bad bulb. Try swapping the bulb from one side to the other if the problem is still on the same side check the ground to the side that is not working properly.

i keep working with the switch and got the headlight to stop being dim. the parking lights and headlights will stay on if i get it in a certain position on the switch which really makes me think it needs cleaned. does anyone know how to tear it apart and hit it with some electronic cleaner and grease?

my headlights were dim due to a cracked-semi melted connector. replaced the connector (and last 3 inches of wire) with a generic - all worky every since.
Note the 3 inches of wire was included in the kit and was larger gauge.
