You are right about the transfer case being in neutral, that must be why the key wont remove. I will try to rock the truck to get it in! So if the spyder is working and it IS trying to start and there is no check engine light on dash and clicking yellow relay under passenger side beside Alarm ECU, what next?

Spike, fast. I was recovering a Jeep and had to get through some deep stuff earlier on. It died afterwords when we were leaving.

So here are all the symptoms when trying to start and/or key in run position:
Starter DOES turn over but is delayed about 3-5 seconds
Check engine light NOT illuminated
Clicking from under passenger dash
clicking around intake under hood
A/C fans are running at a very low speed

Is there a way to test the crank sensor with a volt meter?

The key to driving in water is slow and steady.

You are not getting enough voltage to things, either from wet wires or a low battery.
It is out of the water right?

X2 on the low volts, un-plug hood alarm switch (so immobilzation don't wake up at wrong time) and try jump off from another vehicle. AC fans only have full power or off. If CKP is working there should be spark if other things like battery are normal. The CKP is a coil of wire, so it will read some ohms, not grounded, and won't be open. I do not recall a normal range of ohm value. Fuel pump should also run for like 2 seconds at position 2. Ground point for battery is black wire down beside radiator to a bolt.

yes it is out of the water, we were able to pull it home (with the recovered jeep unfortunately) It is slow to dry because it hasn't been running, I am going to check for spark today and let you know!
