Default Defender hub seal on Discovery

Can anyone confirm this part number for the Defender hub seal that also fits a Discovery? FTC4785
Supposedly better than a Discovery seal

It's more resistant to water and grit?
When installing it, how far does go in or does it sit flush?

The link says install to a depth of 4mm but I was told that this one actually sits flush. Which one is it?

The RTC3511 is the seal you want to use, it has a lip so needs to be seated with the top of the lip flush with the outer edge of the hub.
The body of the seal is then 4mm approx. below outer hub edge.
Not so much better for water or dirt ingress but being double lipped is better for oil lubed bearings.
