Differences in D1 1997, 1998, 1999
I've been searching for this info and have had trouble finding anything. Is there a thread already on the topic that someone can point me to, or can some of you offer any insight?
I'm hoping you may know the differences in years 97, 98 & 99 (fuel injected D1's). While the exterior and interior changes are interesting, I'm after the heart and soul of the truck.
Thanks in advance!

The '99 is a late model year '98 build, the early '97 is a late model year '96 build.
It is common practice for manufactures who have to much inventory from year "X" to carry them over and call them model year "Y".
Ford does it, Chevy, everyone.
Unless there is a huge change in the years and then they mark them as "half" model years.
The was DII actually released in '98 and did not come to the US until the last of the '98's (& '99 DI's) were gone.
