Default DII rear wiper arm on DI?

I need a new rear wiper arm, the original one was twisted, probably from someone trying to use it with snow piled up on it or it was frozen to the windshield over the course of the last 17+ years. I snapped when I tried to straighten it. Does the DII arm fit? I know it has the washer built in, but other than that is it the right size? DII arms are easy to find and look like they may have a better design as far as strength. Anyone know?

Thanks!

Yes they are interchangeable, just uninstalled and re-installed with one nut, and if you would like. I have a DII arm I can sell you.

You will however have to hook-up the washer yourself if the DI doesn't already have a rear window washer.

Our DI has the washer nozzle separate from the arm. How much do you want for it?

Not sure if this is the case, but I had a guy with a D2 buy all of the wiper arms off of a D1 I was parting out. He said that the wipers for the D2 arms were a special type that were very expensive and he could only get through the dealer or specialty outlets, so he converted his D2 to have D1 wiper arms.

With that said, I have a set of D1 wiper arms I can sell you! Just kidding, but the story about the guy is true.

Cool, that'll be very easy then. Say $10 plus shipping?

rain x works no problem on d2 front. Icons/rainx/proline all work on d2 rear

The D2 wiper blades are "suppose" to be a special type, they're not really expensive. Just annoying to have to order wiper blades and only having the ability to choose from certain types.

D2 rear arm is plastic, FYI. I replaced mine with a D1 arm because the plastic gets weak and won't hold the blade against the glass.

I sell tons of DI wiper arms (front and rear) to DII owners either tired of having a hard time finding blades to fit or dealing with the plastic breaking. Most DII owners zip tie the washer hose to the DI rear wiper arm so it will work cleaning the window.

I've never sold a DII wiper to a DI owner. This is a first for me.
