Disco 1 oil pressure switch
Can anyone confirm the location of the oil pressure switch and part number. My car specifically is the 1998 Discovery 1 anniversary edition. It is having some issues with oil pressure when idling and replacing the switch seems like the first step. Part number I am pretty sure is STC4104. Is it located just above the oil filter? Any other advice would be appreciated. I have limited tools and not a great place to work on it so if this is a pretty quick fix hopefully I am able to do it myself.
It is part #2 in diagram - yes STC4104

Comes with metal seal washer for flat mating surfaces or a rubber o-ring for the tapered surface. Maybe try heavier weight oil, e.g. 10W-40 or 15W-40, that should raise the oil pressure compared to 5W-30.
