anyone ever put a vw diesel in a land rover or any diesel at that rate? i have an extra disco and thought about doing this?

Bunch of threads about conversions. There is a guy supposedly doing a VW in one. He hasn't updated it in a long time. There are a couple MB diesel threads floating around. Also a guy who has done a 6.5 in a RRC on you tube. I researched that one alot since I happened to have both a 6.5 and a Land Rover. A lot of theses engine swap threads get started but never updated for real results. Usually they get it running or not and the thread suddenly is 3 years old. Makes ya wonder why.

I have been focused on suspension and driveline in my truck but I have also been amassing links and parts info to do a 4.3 Vortec V6. I figure around 250hp with some easy mods. Light weight. Parts are easy. Plenty of room to work on it. Good on gas. And the power and torque would be an improvement but not tear the Rover apart. And Marks makes and adapter for the trans and motor mounts so it's almost a bolt in. But...probably will never happen for me.
