disco 1996 i have a problem

Default disco 1996 i have a problem

hi my front propshaft fell of and iam waiting for a replacement will it cause me any problembs if i use the motor in diff lock as its only running on back axel

Nope, I drove around for two weeks while tinkering with the front shaft. It won't increase mpg significantly either.

I'd be more concerned about other components sustaining damage. Please explain what, exactly, you mean by "fell off." Did this happen while you were driving? Were you trying to service it at the time? In D2s, the factory front propshaft has been known to fail in a most alarming manner, clunking around under the vehicle and hitting various things, like the transmission. Not quite as common on a D1, but cause for concern nonetheless.

hi all thanks for the advice i checked under the car and can not see any other damage apart from 2 nuts on the propshaft flange thats still attatched to the transferbox shud be fun trying to get them undone regards dave
