Disco I ECU question
Hi - does anyone know if all the ECU's were the same for a 97' Disco I? Still trying to workout the high idle and I believe my next resort will be to take the IAC and ECU as a pair from a Pull a part doner. Just trying to get an idea in advance if all the ECU's were the same before I start pulling. Thanks

And I belive I have done exactly that - got the ECU/IACV from boneyard, 1997 truck runs great, can't fix evap codes because it is looking for the other system. My PO had already disabled the CEL, and I don't live in a county with infections (errr... inspectons). Original truck had sky high idle and would not relearn even a brand new IACV. So if you have a choice, go with truck that has matching emmission canister (round or rectangle).

An early evap equipped ECU motor runs smoother with a later AEL ECU. The firmware for the A/F trim was updated. Might or might not set a CEL for tank purge, most probably not as was the case with a good friend and myself who did just this.
