Thank you, the vehicle has been standing now for 5 days and nothing brings on a spark - I'll go in there and see, but I am not sure I know what a "spider bypass plug" is, will look for something resembling a spider...

Still working my away around American terminology Do I have to buy a "spider bypass plug"

Check this out it will explain it has part numbers also. And yes you have to buy it its cheap start there and see what you get you will have to do a computer reset also have you looked under the passenger seat to see what codes are showing on the obd1 read out.

Is this a NAS D1?
If so, some very wise people would probably disagree on the Spider.

Thanks, I really appreciate your inputs.

If you have time to read back on the history, I only twice had temporary readings on the display after having disconnected and reconnected the battery negative, and both times 02 (zero two?) showed. Other than that there has never been any light or indication of power. The history will show that after having fixed ignition components she would start and run perfectly for about a week and then out of the blue refuses to start.

Thanks, for the link, I am opening that now.

A.

Default Nas

North Amrican Specifications. I would not know whether this 95 is or is not.

Default NAS or not..

All I can see is that "This vehicle conforms to US EPA regulations for 1995 model", so whether that refers to NAS or not I do not know.

Where is the truck now? If it was originally sold in North America then its probably a pretty safe bet its a NAS truck.

Thanks, Fish, I am in Craig, Colorado.

I checked the microfiche components diagram in that link you sent me and am trying to locate them all. Is that #1 component the Electronic Control Unit under the front pasenger seat?

I do not have the remote entry (FOB?) but have been locking and unlocking the vehicle with the key.

You'll see that the starting problem was intermittent and each time I replaced ignition components it disappeared for a week or so. Now the starter just turns the engine briskly but no start.

If I knew how to bypass the immobilizer I may (I hope) get it started. A little under pressure to get it going as it is my only transport.
