Default Discovery I stuck in the Mojave desert

Hi all,

A friend came up visting from san diego, and an hour before hitting vegas this hose blew out in 105 degrees.

Anyone know if this is the upper rad hose? The car is an hour from me and i should have taken better pictures, but I'm sure someone here knows. The local parts stores have the upper hose, but nobody has the multi-hose lower thingy.

Thanks in advance - lets get this disco home.

Looks like the lower to me. The upper sits, well, upper. Runs from the top of the radiator to the top of the motor and into the thermostat housing.

Tell your friend some preventative maintenance and changing the hoses out would have prevented this - and time to change those oil cooler hoses, too.

I'd grab a fresh straight hose and some 1 1/4 pipe (could use PVC double barb for a short run - Home Depot). Cut 1 1/4" pipe about 3" long and attach it to the blown out lower hose with the smaller one and with new hose clamps around the cut back busted/fresh section. Cut straight hose to fit water pump and clamp it.. That would get the truck out of the sticks and into town.
