Default Front Axle Rebuild

Guys:

Here is one by the same guy on the front axle. I just found these and wanted to let you guys know about them. I do not know anything else regarding this guy or his methods or products but it is a lot more than I know, so enjoy.

http://www.youtube.com/user/PhilSher.../6/SoiIwSRQelM

Might help some of you that are involved with the front axle, swivel housing and associated stuff.

I hope some of you guys find these helpful and that I did not violate any rules.

I take no responsibility for accuracy of the contents, just wanted to make you guys aware of them.

Any comments appreciated of course.

I just bought the axle rebuild one. They actually seem pretty accurate, although the maintenance one is almost worthless for us because it does not cover the V8 engine.

I appreciate the feedback. I did notice he uses a large pair of slip-joint pliers on that locknut on the front hub instead of an adapter. Plus he adjusted the preload by feel not by a torque wrench. I had the adapter but there is no way to utilize a torque wrnch with that adapter, so I also had to do it by "scientific estimate of applied torque" otherwise known as a wild-*** guess.

If you have never experienced the pleasure of doing these tasks, it does at least walk you completely thru the teardown and re-assembly in full living color. Pretty decent production I thought.
