Default Does a 94 D1 have the super lock feature?

Browsng the threads and came across whats called "superlock". Rear passenger door hasen't opened for quite some time and seems to have the symptoms associated with "superlocking". I'm just curious to know if a 94 would indeed have this feature. I have an alarm system from factory that loves to play tricks on me sometime also .

Nope. Rear doors are blocked by a small switch on the locking console (disable rear locks for kidz). Also known problems with the lock ECU and solder joints. Or just plain old dead lock motor in the door. You can get door panel off, they are made of structural foam, so be gentle with plastic upholstery removal tools or you'll tear out the fittings.

Thanks for the info Buzz I'll get after it today hopefully. I tore into the front driverside yesterday but it looks like I need to go back in and take the entire locking mechanism out. I found it funny to see a GM stamp on the lock, not what I was expecting. Doesn't surprise me that it failed, HA!

I had something similar on mine...door handle wouldn't always unlatch all the way, would have to really pull at the handle to get the door to open. Internals all checked out. Ended up just needing some lubrication and it works like a champ.

Had the same problem on the driver side front, still have the problem I didn't get to fix it today. However I pulled the handle to hard and believe it or not the handle sheered right in half. So even if I do fix the locking mechanism I still need to find the little black square hanlde!! Guess I don't know my own strength.
