Default Does ABS light stay on until driven?

I have been working on my Discovery 1 this winter, a 98. I have had it in my shop since December, and haven't driven it. Been working on it when I have time .

I learned the signal flasher on the dash blinks both left and right , no matter which way you are turning.

I have an abs light on the dash, I have also read that this will stay illuminated until after you start driving it over a certain speed. I have tried the jump wire for the obd port, the 5 and 15,. and I don't get any codes after the intial long and short blink on the abs light.

I did not want to put the tires on until I found a.problem, but now I read the light will stay on until it is driven?

New to land rovers , so am a.bit green on this stuff.

Should the light go off after it is started , or should it stay on until you start driving?

Any help appreciated !!

Craig

I put the wheels on and drove it for the first time since.december!! No abs light once I start driving, and brakes much better with cleaned up pads and rotors.

Was too much fun finally being able to drive it a.short distance!!
