you should just stop disconnecting your battery before doing interior service

When replacing my headliner after painting it, I accidentally shorted the cargo dome light on re-installation. The bulb was fine, and it took 8 minutes of fuse checking with a multimeter to find the blown fuse because the manual was on the other side of the vehicle.

I didn't disconnect my battery, and should have. or just been more careful.

You most likely either knocked something loose or shorted it to the metal somewhere.

I failed to disconnect the battery on my wife's Explorer one day. When a large wrench slipped and shorted something to ground, it glowed red pretty quickly.

In addition to fuses the MFU could be at issue. Muti Function Unit, on the back of the interior fuse panel, and a PITA to get out. It does timing funtions, and has a big transistor in it that is not mounted to a heat sink. That guy "dims" the lights in steps. Mine had a small hole melted in the case, just next to that component. Figured it was from constant overload, without a heat sink that transistor is good for 1 or 2 watts in free air. You are running a lot more with front, center, and cargo lights. Changed my module and changed to LED lights, bright enough so I can check my depends after the Death Wobble...

Thing is though...I disconnected the battery...no electricity running through the car...and it still blew something...ill check the fuses to make sure

Interesting....

I have noticed that my Dome light works, but does not come on anymore when the doors open. I replaced it with an LED. I went back to the incandescent, but no change.

I also notice that it takes my wipers about 2 seconds to respond once I turn them on.

See https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...ighlight=light

and

The RAVE has a test sequence that you can trigger to sequence through and test each of the functions of the MFU.
